Our dog walking friends from Fort Funston Dog have moved their monthly clean up in order to help us out!

They will show up before the Air Races to do a special clean up of our set up, BBQ, and launch areas.

"Our regular cleanup day would fall on Labor Day weekend, so we’ve moved it forward a week. Join us next Saturday, August 28th for a very special cleanup of the hang gliders’ launch and landing areas. The hang gliders are having a race and BBQ later on Saturday, so we thought we’d be good neighbors and spiff up their area. If you like to sneak a peek at the weather before coming to the Fort, you probably know about the web cam on the hang glider website.

We’ll meet you near the observation deck in the upper parking lot (note the different meeting place) at 9:30am Saturday to hand out all the supplies you’ll need – buckets, gloves, trowels. Bring your kids, dogs, friends . . . . and either a sleeveless shirt or parka, depending on that day’s weather. "

The Funston Dog Walkers are being great park partners and did a great job cleaning up the hang gliding area for our BBQ.
