Glider transport from Portland?

I'm purchasing a glider in the Portland, OR area. Is anyone traveling that way who would be willing to bring a glider back to the bay area with them? Trying to avoid shipping.

Another option: the Starthisle fly-in on Memorial day.
The glider would be brought there by a pilot coming down from Seattle, then would hitch a ride to the BA.
