[quote="Steve Urbach"]The size of the Gusts are very important along with consistent direction. snip.....

An H-2 wind direction limit of no more than 15 degrees from straight in was specified at the meeting and should have been included in the rules. I missed that addition when compiling all the new rules so will revise the files and get them posted ASAP.
As for gusts, I would think anything over 5 mph change in velocity might be considered too much for H-2's. Since their maximum limit is 15 mph, if it is gusting 9 to 15, they couldn't fly. They could fly in gusty winds of 5 to 10.
If this limit is sensible the wording could be;
"H-2 pilots shall be limited to smooth winds of 15 mph, and 10 mph if gusts exceed 5 mph."
In addition, "Wind shall not be more than 15 degrees cross"
Does this wording make sense?
