I have now changed the board so that anyone can read posts but only registered users can create or reply. I didn't want to, but a spam bot found our board and started posting nasty messages and I had to change things before it got out of hand.

When you register (again, required only if you want to post a message) there are no official naming rules. On the other hand, if your ID looks like it might be a spammer there's an outside chance it'll be deleted in the event we get hit.

Boy, one bad apple ruins the lot for everyone else...
