Paraglider fatality?

Postby cliffblack » Sun Feb 08, 2009 6:46 pm

CNBC (CH 5) news said a fisherman was fishing the surf this morning about 10 PM near Mussle Rock and snagged a parachute, pulled it in, and found a dead pilot on the other end. Anybody have more info? It's a good idea to use the buddy system. The pilot could have gone down in the surf and nobody saw it.

They say the pilot was Rollan Kim.

I'm sure you meant 10am, not pm. We didn't start flying today until around 11am, so none of us would have been flying over to see him go down at the time, if it was indeed today that he went down. It was strong today but would have been good for paragliders in the early morning.
