THE 2005 COYOTE HOWL FLY-IN and CLOUDBUSTER HOOTENANNY
Fly-in 5-19-05 through 5-22-05, Hootenanny Saturday night 5-21-05.
Lake McClure, California. A fund-raising event; relaxed, laid-back flying with the spice of some competition thrown in. Prizes for the meet and the raffle. The event is loosely structured from Thursday 5-19-05 through Sunday 5-22-05 with free flying and XC Thursday and Friday, and the organized meet on Saturday and Sunday, May 21 & 22. Whether you want to do the tasks or you want to free-fly, if you get in the air, you are gonna have a good time (and if you're a driver, we'll respect you!) Pilot participation fee is $20.00 for the event (free flying, speed gliding, XC, pylons, duration, etc). The meet director is USHGA Vice-President Lisa Tate. Great flying, butt-kicking music and entertainment, and friendly locals will make this a memorable event and one you won’t want to miss.
For meet info contact Shannon Raby at getusum@inreach.com or (209) 878-0249.
The daytime is made for flying and the nights are made for hooting, howling, and hollering. Bring your musical instruments, and we'll sit and pass the jug around Thursday and Friday night, invent new hang gliding songs and tell lies about our flying adventures.
Friday night Mexican dinner at the LZ is $5.00 (must RSVP). Saturday night dinner and hootenanny is $25.00 (food begins 6:30pm at the Magnolia Saloon in Coulterville, show runs from 7:30 - 10:00pm). ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASE IS REQUIRED FOR THE DINNER & SHOW; the room is small and will sell out! Music and entertainment by Doodoo Wah, Sourdough Slim, and the Saddle Pals. A butt kicking, crankin' and bankin', get-high-go-far, sky-out vario-pegged rip-snortin' event to remember!
Contact Reklai Salazar for entertainment tickets at reklai@hotmail.com or (916) 799-5231.
Come one, come all, come and "get you some" at Lake McClure May 19 - 22, 2005. The flying is great at that time of the year, and the partying should live up to our normal high standards.
