I just received this from the GGNRA/NPS. If anyone knows of damage to Funston, please post the details here.

Thanks,

Daniel

The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area is writing
our partnering organizations to request information to assist the park with
our clean up and repair efforts following last weekend's storms. As you
may be aware there has been damage to roads and other park resources as a result of the weather. The park has begun a formal assessment process to identify damages and our Maintenance Division is already at work removing hazard trees prior to planning long term repairs.

NPS requests information from our partners concerning damages to park
resources and your occupied NPS property for assessment and repair
purposes. Please forward e-mail descriptions of damage including location
and documentation e.g. GIS data or a sample low resolution digital image
for our use in completing our assessment process. We are submitting a
preliminary damage assessment report to Superintendent O'Neill by the end of the day, Thursday, January 5, 2005. Please forward any preliminary information to alex_naar@nps.gov, paul_batlan@nps.gov, and
patricia_s_reischl@nps.gov by mid-day Thursday.

Please do not e-mail multiple images since they will overload our e-mail
system.

Please do not forward any claims for property damages to the damage
assessment team. Any damage related claims are to be submitted and
processed through the GGNRA claims officer, Mary Beth McFarland.

GGNRA extends our wishes to all our partners for a safe new year and thank you for your timely response to this information request.

Sincerely: PB
