Dog management plan SPEAK UP!

Postby Steve Rodrigues » Sat Sep 21, 2013 8:38 am

Would you like to keep off-leash dogs out of our HG area?

The GGNRA's dog management plan is open for public comment and we need to speak up!

The plan that best protects hang gliding is Preferred Alternative F. You can see the map here: http://s124.photobucket.com/user/srskyp ... ent%20plan

That is the plan that the GGNRA believes is best but they need to hear from us! If you care about Fort Funston, please follow this link and tell them that you support Alternative F.

As an example, this is what I wrote:

“Dear NPS,

I support your Preferred Alternative F.

Alternative F will protect the safety and enhance the experience of park visitors.

Thank you for your work on the dog management plan.

Regards,

Steve Rodrigues”

Having looked at all the maps, the launch and setup area is not designated as on or off leash except in A. As the image shows, it's a "gray area".

Here's a link to download all the maps. http://parkplanning.nps.gov/documentsOp ... ctID=11759
